  • Amy Collado is a Brooklyn-born community organizer, multidisciplinary artist, and first-generation immigrant dedicated to housing justice. For nine years, she’s organized tenants across Queens & Brooklyn, helping form associations, win rent reductions, and fight displacement through city & state-wide campaigns.

    A former tenant organizer at Catholic Migration Services and AmeriCorps alum, Amy also uses art to amplify the movement, including her 2022 short film on immigrant tenants and care economics. She believes housing is a human right and joined BHIP as Lead Organizer in 2024. She lives in Ridgewood, Queens.
